Day 1 night: Mass dinner at Downtown East. I am proposing to have everyone buying random things (e.g. satay, otah etc.) then we'll all share for dinner. This is in replacement of the BBQ, more hassle-free =)

Day 2 evening: Dinner at Swensen's for birthday celebrations

Day 2 night: Night cycling

Please brign along all sorts of entertainment logisitcs e.g. poker cards, frisbee, ball etc. I am not sure if they have a mahjong rental there so someone might want to volunteer.

This is a random poll for CLASS CHALET.

Since NSRCC has been fully booked =(, we have to decide on a chalet that is good with man facilities and is reasonably priced. I've listed a few blow for reference.

*Note: chalet scheduled to be in Jan as of now.

1. The Chervrons
Venue: Jurong East
Availability: Regular Unit, 3-8 Jan.
Rate: Regular Unit $210 (about $10+ per person)
I don't know how big it is, but I think 1 Regular maybe just nicely fits all of us, or a little squeezy perhaps. Good environment, and really close to IMM so food can be easily settled. Facilities incluse Karaoke, Swimming pools, Basketball courts, Arcade. Unit comes with attached BBQ Pit.

2. Costa Sands Downtown East

Rate: (No idea how to calculate, someone can try)
Really small room, so I guess we will have to book two rooms to accomodate the whole class. Has choice of foodcourts and fast food nearby, inclusive of Convenience store Cheers for snacks, and cinema. I know that's an automated movie rental at the entrance. Close to Escape Theme Park. Comes with bicycle rental and is close to the beach. I think BBQ Pit does not come attached so needs to be bookled.

most probably it'll be in january, cause' it'll be much cheaper and have more vacancies
i did a little market research, the cheapest chalet would be chervons@je area,
about 210bucks for 3D2N (or 120bucks if i can get my bro to help us book and check in!)
but it's sorta in the urban area which is nowhere near nature landscapes.
then there's NSRCC@ecp area i think!
QUITE cheap, less than 300bucks for 3D2N but have to book quickly cause' it's gonna get fully booked soon!
then there's aloha loyang and changi which are the standard ones.
but loyang is damn ex, at least 200bucks per night if we want the bigger rooms!
but can check with my sis if she can get it at cheaper rate !

Hi minna-san! Since im having free time here and yall are having econs lecture now, I shall blog and update u on the horrible YOG talk ive attended ystday. (glare at junxian ><)

Basically, the wonderful pe dept has once again decided to throw us sai-gangs to do. In order to relate hwachongians with the upcoming YOG next year, they have come up with a series of projects for every CCA + CT classes to compete with one another e.g. banner painting/class YOG tee-shirt design/class YOG blog etc. SO, I BELIEVE EVERYONE CAN SENSE THE IMPENDING DANGER NOW RIGHT?! Don’t worry, u are not being sensitive, coz the things ALL of us are involved in are shown below (lol sounds like eom to me):

Project 1: Inter-CT Olympic Theme Project Competition

Deadline for this project: 26th August 2009

There are a total of 7 themes - our class has been allocated the one named “Sports Context (Career Management)”. A very BRIEF description: This topic would cover various facets of a professional athlete’s career such as personal development and managing transitional phases. To be presented in ppt format, requires 20-30 slides, judged based on CONTENT, AESTHETIC LAYOUT, EDUCATIONAL VALUE, APPLICATION VALUE. On a happier note, pe-reps will be judging and OF COURSE, who would I vote for? Anyway, prizes will be $100 swensons voucher, results to be released on 31st August Teachers’ Day.

Note*: Kaini will be taking charge of this project (LOL I don’t know if she is setting up a committee for this anot), so everyone please be COOPERATIVE if our NINI asks u for ur participation. =D) rmb that dateline’s 26th!!!

Project 2: Design Your Class YOG TEE

Deadline for this project: 26th August too.

Design a tee-shirt based according to the class VALUE-group (I supposed they will announce soon which VALUE-grp we belong to). Requirements: must indicate Olympic Value (OV) we belong to; must include a catchy slogan; aesthetic design (-.-); not more than 3 colours. Ok who’s judging again? CCA leaders and PE reps, haha. However, first elimination round will be decided by PE dept, final judging will be based on everyone’s vote. MOST importantly, there will be no prizes to be won, winning class will ‘get to print their t-shirts customized as their class t-shirts FOC”, and the design might be considered as pe/orientation shirt for 2010. Yes im so enthusiastic, see how excited I am now. -_-

Justification 2: Whilst we sauntered down the road heading to AMK Hub to 'dao bao' lunch, people parted, leaving a clearly defined central path for us to proceed. The 'natural' thing to do of course was to avoid potentially hazardous company in public places for them. And we were subjected to a series of inspection, albeit from afar, as people at a coffee-shop 150m away eyed us suspiciously. Perhaps to put some icing on the cake, two very serious youngsters decided that the best way to applaud our sense of social responsibility will be to lift their shirts all the way up such that they covered their faces like our masks and to walk away from us with their eyes encroaching on our personal space despite walking in the opposite directions.

i bet ~~most~~ all of us are like iodine now,
because we are liberated finally, whee~!
there is a significant enthalpy change in us,
since now we seem to have more energy to play then to mug (which is not very good, but haha who cares-.-)

and there is also an increase in our entropy,

With the increasing stress level that is starting to build up as the blocks is getting round the corner, it is inevitable that we pick up random addictions like spamming facebook quizzes every now and then. Definitely as we all know, addiction is something that is price inelastic, meaning that the demand for such recreation will not decrease even with increasing opportunity cost that may be incurred. Therefore, teenagers tend to spend too much time engaging in such social networking and neglect the importance of studying for something called the block test! O:
How to go about solving such a problem is the most crucial to be asked now, and I would say that there is a need to come up with a CLASS OUTING soon, so as to make teenagers realise the need to get out of the virtual world and enjoy all that the nature offers. A simple trip to the beautiful island called sentosa right after blocks will also be seen as a motivation to for students to mug even harder! This is commonly known as bonding, when a group of electron-like people get together closely to form a stable compound called a 09s67 CT! :D Afterall, it is all about being 通。

PW UPDATES!

hey all! I guess i should be a more responsible pw rep! :X I realised the other pw reps are super involved and chasing everyone to hand up their work etc. SO i should do my part too and if you guys didn't realise, our class is quite lag for pw. Other classes alr submitted their GPP long ago. As for EoM, many of them alr submitted their drafts. So as you all can see, we have yet to even submit our static GPP! :O this is BADDDDDDDDDDD! SO, this can't go on! WE MUST BUCK UP!

it's me again[x and updates for gems(: oh anyway, public speaking workshop today was surprisingly quite interesting(: haha those trainers/facilitators were really engaging haha. so the two groups who havent gone for the workshop remember to attend it next term! i think it's kind of useful[:

the idea of learning magic for gems came about through this public speaking workshop anyway[: yes, and i assume that those of us who went for the workshop today agreed to this, so i need replies from the other half of the class[:

we will talk about this on monday during ct period, 830-9am (since 8-830am is sabbaticals briefing in audi). so if everyone's okay with the idea, we will go ahead with the planning, writing of proposal (done by me most likely) then submission for approval[:

HELLO PEOPLE!

mm mr leong said that we should start planning for our gems activity and have it done asap so that it doesnt clash with important dates, e.g. blocks and promos, so he suggested having it after blocks[:

fyi, it's a one day activity whereby a selected vendor will come and teach the whole class something, e.g. cooking, baking, roller blading, sushi making, iceskating etc etc, practically anything that you can think of(: but obviously must be agreed by the class. so we have a budget of 10 bucks per person, which means we have $230 in total.

we will most probably have it after blocks. yes, so any suggestions?:) ehh please reply by either tagging, sms-ing, email-ing or whichever method that can reach me. thanks alot(:
